Knife Defence
​
Our knife defence is based on Filipino Martial Arts, but stripped back and refined to work in true fight time or boxing timing.
We cover defence against all types of bladed attacks, prioritising the most common attack angles. We use other weapons (including the stick) and empty hand techniques for defence. We learn skills to block, counter, escape and ultimately to disarm.
The training is structured to take you steadily and progressively through single attacks to full speed unrehearsed attacks, starting with awareness in recognising/identifying when a knife is about to be used in order to prevent the attack escalating.
It is taught and practiced in a safe, although realistic manner.
